What’s the difference between a renovation and remodel? Renovations are defined as “restoring to good condition” and is often used to describe the revival of an existing space. Remodels, on the other hand, refer to projects which significantly alter the structure of an existing home. In this home remodel, our team collaborated with the homeowners to completely re-imagine their main living areas, including significant upgrades to the kitchen, master bedroom, and master bath.

The most significant transformation was in the kitchen, where the floorplan was re-configured and expanded to create a more functional open layout. The renovated kitchen features more counter space with new appliances and cabinets, a gorgeous custom-built island that integrates the pre-existing chimney shaft, and a cozy breakfast nook with custom benches and shelving.

Another significant portion of the project was the re-configuration and upgrades to the master bedroom and bathroom. The original space had an oversized bedroom with a small full bath and single closet. The project re-allocated some of the master bedroom’s square footage to create a larger master bath and walk-in closet. A floating vanity and large circular mirror create a striking focal point in the bathroom, as does the custom alcove shower with beautiful tile work.
