Benefits of Aging-in-Place Design:

SAFETY

Remaining at home can increase your health and safety by eliminating the risk of shared illnesses and allowing you to customize your home to meet your day-to-day needs.

INDEPENDENCE

Aging-in-Place allows seniors to live comfortably in their own homes so they can maintain freedom and autonomy. This also corresponds with many mental health benefits.

AFFORDABILITY

The cost of nursing homes and medical institutions can be significant. Compared to these costs, remodeling your home to suite your needs is by far the most cost-effective method.

ACCESS TO LOVED ONES

Assisted living facilities may limit the quantity of time you are can spend with others. By remaining at home, family and friends are able to visit or provide routine assistance.

CUSTOMIZATION

By designing your own space, you’ll have control over the finishes, materials, fixtures, and layout to best reflect your daily needs and your aesthetic preferences.

INCREASED POPULARITY

According to a recent AARP survey, 90% of American seniors wish to live at home for as long as possible. As Aging-in-Place design grows in popularity, more resources have become available.
